On the evening of Thursday, September 9, 2010 at least four people were killed and 52 injured when a Pacific Gas & Electric gas pipeline allegedly exploded and started a fire that destroyed a San Bruno, California neighborhood. As of Friday, investigators are still trying to determine what caused the devastating blast that left a crater in the ground and homes smoldering.

San Bruno Emergency Hotline:
(650) 616-7180 – The City of San Bruno is asking residents who were evacuated to let Red Cross officials know they’re safe by calling this number.

HOW TO HELP
The best way to help is by donating money online at the Red Cross website at www.redcross.org.
Give blood at Blood Centers of the Pacific 888-393-GIVE. Type O will be needed. People are urged to wait until next week to donate.
