Balance of Nature Lawsuit Alleges False Advertising of Supplements
Audet & Partners, LLP is investigating an escalating number of claims as part of a Balance of Nature lawsuit that allege false advertising related to the efficacy of supplements manufactured and sold by Balance of Nature. The lawsuit alleges false and deceptive marketing outreach by Balance of Nature dating back almost thirty years during which time Balance of Nature sold dual-packaged supplements including one bottle of fruits, and one bottle of vegetables.
Despite not having secured approval by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (“FDA”), Balance of Nature promoted these supplements as possessing curative properties for ailments and diseases ranging from the common cold to pneumonia, diabetes, arthritis, cancer, and Covid-19. This absence of regulatory approval prompted the FDA to issue a warning letter to Balance of Nature on August 20, 2019 in which the FDA warned the company that it was marketing its products based on unapproved and illegal claims. These marketing statements have now given rise to claims in this Balance of Nature lawsuit based on false advertising.
