Rustoleum Restore Defective Product Lawsuit
Rustoleum® Restore® Lawsuit Investigation
Audet & Partners, LLP is investigating claims on behalf of consumers who have purchased and used Rustoleum® Restore® resurfacing products on outdoor decks. It has been alleged that the Restore® product, when applied to exterior decks may be prone to premature peeling and/or bubbling, leading to expensive repair costs for property owners.
In one reported case, a homeowner alleged that he applied Rustoleum® Restore® to his outdoor deck in 2013, only to have significant peeling and bubbling begin within 18 months of application. The manufacturer had provided a ten year warranty for the product. Despite the manufacturer’s warranty, the company allegedly offered the homeowner a check in the amount of $413.40, representing the cost of five cans of the Restore® application, plus tax. The homeowner alleges that the premature cracking and peeling would require in excess of $4,000.00 for the cost of removal.
